The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of FBR & Co. (the “Company”) acting in accordance with the Company’s Amended and Restated Bylaws elected William F. Strome to the Board effective October 13, 2014. Mr. Strome’s election fills a vacancy on the Board of the Company. In connection with Mr. Strome’s election to and service on the Board, he was granted a total of 4,458 Restricted Stock Units under the Company’s 2006 Long-Term Incentive Plan. Mr. Strome’s committee assignments have not been determined at the time of this filing.
