Item 8.01. Other Events.
On April 11, 2016, Vertex Energy, Inc. (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing the date of the Company’s 2016 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, the record date for such meeting, and the required date by which the Company is required to receive stockholder proposals for the Annual Meeting. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
