Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On December 20, 2010, Nelson García submitted his resignation as director of Oriental
Financial Group Inc. (the “Company”), including its banking subsidiary. He is the chairman of the
audit committee of the Company’s board of directors. His resignation will be effective December
31, 2010. Mr. García’s resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the Company.
