ANNOUNCES ANNUAL STOCKHOLDERS MEETING DATE

Topeka, KS - Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. (NASDAQ: CFFN) (the "Company") announced today that the annual meeting of stockholders will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Bradbury Thompson Center, 1700 S.W. Jewell, located on the Washburn University Campus, in Topeka, Kansas. The voting record date will be November 30, 2018.

Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. is the holding company for Capitol Federal Savings Bank (the "Bank"). The Bank has 58 branch locations in Kansas and Missouri, and is one of the largest residential lenders in the State of Kansas.
