Item 8.01. Other Events
On December 10, 2015 the Board of Directors of First Guaranty Bancshares, Inc. ("First Guaranty") declared a quarterly cash dividend on First Guaranty's outstanding shares of common stock of $0.16 per share. The dividend will be payable to shareholders of record as of December 24, 2015 and is expected to be paid on December 31, 2015. This is the 90th consecutive quarterly dividend paid to common shareholders.
On November 19, 2015 the Board of Directors of First Guaranty declared a 10 percent common stock dividend on First Guaranty's outstanding shares of common stock. The record date was December 10, 2015 and the payable date will be December 17, 2015.
