VIRGIN AMERICA REPORTS SEPTEMBER 2015 OPERATIONAL RESULTS

San Francisco – Thursday, October 8, 2015 – Virgin America Inc. (NASDAQ: VA) today reported its preliminary operational results for September 2015. The airline’s traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) increased 6.5 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 8.1% higher from the same month in 2014.
Load factor was 78.1 percent, a decrease of 1.1 points from September 2014. The number of onboard passengers increased 13.9 percent from the same month last year.
