ITEM 8.01. OTHER EVENTS
On February 24, 2014, M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. announced that it will redeem all of its outstanding 5.375% Senior Notes due 2014, which total $250 million, on March 25, 2014. The 2014 Notes will be redeemed pursuant to their optional redemption provisions. A copy of the press release dated February 24, 2014 related to the announcement of the redemption is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
