On November 18, 2013, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer of Old Point Financial Corporation (the Company) received a letter from Robert L. Riddle resigning from the Board of Directors of the Company and its wholly-owned subsidiary, the Old Point National Bank of Phoebus. The effective date of Mr. Riddle's resignation as communicated in the letter is November 13, 2013. Mr. Riddle's resignation was not the result of a disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies or practices. A copy of Mr. Riddle's resignation letter is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
