FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 14, 2012

Anchor Funding Services, Inc. reports second quarter 2012 net income of $168,600.

Boca Raton, Fl. (PR Newswire) August 14, 2012 – Anchor Funding Services, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board Symbol “AFNG.OB”) a specialty commercial finance company focused on accounts receivable funding, announced today its results of operations for the three months and six months ended June 30, 2012. Anchor reported second quarter 2012 finance revenues decreased to $712,749 as compared to $731,848 for the comparable period of the prior year, a 2.6% decrease.   The finance revenues for the second quarter of 2011 include a one-time fee of approximately $55,000 from a client for terminating its contract early. Excluding this fee, finance revenues increased 5.3% or approximately $36,000.  Anchor reported finance revenues for the six months ended June 30, 2012 decreased to $1,255,245 as compared to $1,319,140 for the comparable period of the prior year, a 4.8% decrease. Increased business from new and existing clients along with a benefit for credit losses of approximately $14,000 partially offset the one-time $55,000 fee described above and resulted in net income for the three months ended June 30, 2012 of $168,600 compared to $173,494 for the three months ended June 30, 2011. Reduced interest expense, combined with a credit loss recovery of approximately $14,000, resulted in net income from continuing operations of $205,369 for the six months ended June 30, 2012 as compared to $194,531 for the comparable period of the prior year.

Anchor continues to experience demand for its financing product services. Anchor purchased approximately $28.1 million of invoices during the second quarter 2012 compared to approximately $20.9 million for second quarter 2011.  For the six months ended June 30, 2012, Anchor purchased approximately $48.3 million of invoices compared to approximately $41.1 million for the comparable period for the prior year.

Morry F. Rubin, CEO, stated "We are excited about our profitable results and our ability to be more competitive in the marketplace and fund larger transactions with the credit facility we entered into in November 2011.  Since having completed our private placement of convertible preferred securities in April 2007, we have organically grown the portfolio from less than a dozen clients in a few states to servicing more than 125 companies in over 30 states in the first six months of 2012. We are focused on adding additional credit worthy clients to our national portfolio and seeking acquisition opportunities.”

We are excited about our future expansion opportunities and will continue to communicate important developments as they occur.
