Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On March 9, 2012, GeoMet, Inc. issued a press release announcing its year-end 2011 estimated proved reserves, providing an operational update of natural gas sales volumes for the quarter and year ended December 31, 2011, and providing preliminary guidance on budgeted capital expenditures and natural gas sales volumes for 2012. A copy of the press release is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.
