Q & A Responses
Q.   When the merger is completed and it is decided which jobs will be eliminated, will there be any kind of workshops for those who will be laid off? Like updating your resume, etcWill we be given advance notice of the layoff or will we find out one day and it becomes effective the next day?
A.   The HR Transition Team is exploring various options for offering workshops on resume building, etc., and we will provide further information when a decision has been made. As Rich Hallworth and Stuart Campbell have previously mentioned, employees whose positions will be affected will be notified within the first 90 days after close of the transaction. Our goal is to inform those affected employees with as much notice as possible, and we will provide a fair severance package. Generally speaking, we are looking to give employees at least two weeks’ notice of lay- off/job elimination.
