Effective as of September 1, 2010,
NeoStem, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Ian Zhang, Ph.D., MBA, age 45, as the
President and Managing Director of NeoStem (China), Inc., a wholly foreign owned
subsidiary of the Company. A copy of the Company’s press release dated
September 7, 2010 relating to Dr. Zhang’s appointment is attached hereto as
Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
