Item 8.01 Other Events.
On July 1, 2021, Midwest Holding Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its subsidiary, American Life & Security Corp. has entered into a reinsurance agreement with American Republic Insurance Company, a subsidiary of American Enterprise Group, Inc. A copy of this press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto. The reader is advised to read this press release in its entirety.
