Item 5.02     Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On May 10, 2021, the Administrative Board of Directors of Spark Networks SE (the “Company”) appointed Yoon Um, the Company’s Global Controller, as the Company’s principal financial officer and principal accounting officer. There is no arrangement or understanding between Ms. Um and any other person pursuant to which she was selected as an officer of the Company, and there is no family relationship between Ms. Um and any of the Company’s other directors or executive officers. Ms. Um, age 38, has been the Company’s Global Controller since November 2020. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Um was a Managing Director at CFGI, an accounting advisory firm from January 2018 to November 2020. Prior to that, Ms. Um was a Senior Manager in the audit practice of Deloitte and Touche LLP serving large multi-national public company clients where she began her career in September 2005. Ms. Um is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
