Item 7.01 Regulation FD.

 

On March 29, 2021, Helius Medical Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized marketing of the Portable Neuromodulation Stimulator (PoNS™) device for the short term treatment of gait deficit due to mild-to-moderate symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis (“MS”). A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

Item 8.01 Other Events.

 

On March 29, 2021, the Company announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized marketing of the PoNS™ device. The PoNS device is indicated for use as a short term treatment of gait deficit due to mild-to-moderate symptoms from MS and is to be used as an adjunct to a supervised therapeutic exercise program in patients 22 years of age and over by prescription only.
