Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
(b) On October 8, 2020, the Board of Directors of New Concept Energy, Inc. (the "Registrant" or the "Company" or "NCE") appointed Richard W. Humphrey (age 73) to a vacancy on the Board of Directors, effective October 9, 2020. The vacancy was created by the expansion of the Board from four to five members. Mr. Humphrey has been, for more than the past five years, Vice President of Regis Realty Prime, LLC, involved in sales and acquisitions of real estate properties. Mr. Humphrey received from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business both a Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration degree with emphasis in real estate. From 1976 to 1979, he was also a part-time faculty member at Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business in Dallas, teaching real estate classes in undergraduate and graduate school. Regis Realty Prime, LLC and its predecessors are affiliated with Realty Advisors, Inc. ("RAI").
