Director Resignation

On July 13, 2020, Evan Hengel notified the Board of Directors of Apex Global Brands Inc. (the “Company”) of his resignation from the Board of Directors of the Company (the “Board”) effective July 15, 2020.  Mr. Hengel’s resignation from the Board was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.

At the time of his resignation, Mr. Hengel was Chairman of the Board, an independent director, Chairman of the Nomination and Governance Committee of the Board, and a member of the Compensation Committee of the Board.

The Company thanks Mr. Hengel for his leadership, support and many other contributions as it managed through numerous opportunities during Mr. Hengel’s tenure with the Company.
