Item 7.01    Regulation FD.

Lonestar Resources US Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), has elected not to make the approximately $14.1 million interest payment (the “Interest Payment”) due and payable on July 1, 2020 with respect to its 11.25% senior notes due 2023 (the “Notes”) on the due date in order to evaluate certain strategic alternatives, none of which have been implemented at this time. Under the indenture governing the Notes, the Company has a 30-day grace period to make the Interest Payment before such non-payment constitutes an “event of default” with respect to the Notes.

Forward-Looking Statements

This Current Report on Form 8-K contains forward-looking statements that involve risks and uncertainties including statements regarding the evaluation of certain strategic alternatives, the Company’s debt levels, liquidity and ability to access financing sources and capital markets, particularly as the Company manages its business through the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and other risks and uncertainties detailed in the Company’s filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, including the Company’s most recent report on Form 10-K. These risks and uncertainties are incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. These statements are based on engineering, geological, financial and operating assumptions that management believes are reasonable based on currently available information; however, management’s assumptions and the Company’s future performance are both subject to a wide range of business risks, and there is no assurance that these goals and projections can or will be met. Actual results may vary materially. In addition, any forward-looking statements represent the Company’s estimates only as of today and should not be relied upon as representing its estimates as of any future date. The Company assumes no obligation to update its forward-looking statements.
