Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On June 29, 2020, William W. Osborn, Chief Financial Officer and principal financial officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka (FHLBank), informed FHLBank that he accepted the position of Chief Business Officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLBank Des Moines). Mr. Osborn is resigning his employment with FHLBank effective July 10, 2020.

Effective as of the resignation date, Mark E. Yardley, President and Chief Executive Officer will assume the duties and responsibilities of FHLBank’s principal financial officer on an interim basis while FHLBank conducts a national search for a new Chief Financial Officer.
