Item 8.01 Other Events.

 

On June 23, 2020, ChinaNet Online Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”), received a written notice (the “Letter”) from the Listing Qualifications department (the “Staff”) of The NASDAQ Stock Market (“NASDAQ”) notifying the Company that the Staff has determined that for 10 consecutive business days, from June 9 to June 22, 2020, the closing bid price of the Company’s common stock has been at $1.00 per share or greater and that accordingly, the Company has regained compliance with Listing Rule 5550(a)(2). The Letter also stated that the matter related to Listing Rule 5550(a)(2), previously disclosed by the Company in its Current Report on Form 8-K filed on April 23, 2020, has been closed.
