Item 8.01 Other Events.
On April 15, 2020, Collectors Universe, Inc. (the “Company”) obtained an unsecured $4.2 million loan (the “PPP Loan”) under the Small Business Administration (“SBA”) Paycheck Protection Program (the “PPP”). On April 23, 2020 the SBA, which is the administrator of the PPP, published guidance to the effect that large public companies with access to the capital markets or credit markets would be presumed to be ineligible for PPP loans. Although such guidance did not exist at the time the Company applied for the PPP Loan, like many other public companies that had obtained PPP loans prior to the issuance of that SBA guidance, we repaid the entire PPP Loan on April 30, 2020.
