For the quarter ended September 30, 2018, BNI Energy, owner of Center Mine, received six citations under Section 104(a) of the Mine Safety Act, one of which was a significant and substantial (S&S) citation; eight citations were received for the nine months ended September 30, 2018. For the quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2018, BNI Energy paid $1,989 and $2,197, respectively, in penalties for citations closed during the period.
