Item 5.02                                           Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

On April 26, 2017, Bemis Company, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that James W. Ransom, Jr., Senior Vice President and President — Bemis North America, will transition from his role as part of a succession plan leading to his retirement on December 31, 2017.  As part of the succession plan already underway, he will resign as an executive officer of the Company effective at the close of business on May 4, 2017.  Mr. Ransom will remain an employee through his retirement date on December 31, 2017 to facilitate a smooth and orderly transition of his responsibilities.
