On February 15, 2017, Parkway Acquisition Corp. (the "Company") issued a press release reporting its financial results for the period ended December 31, 2016. A copy of the press release is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated by reference into this Item 2.02.

On February 17, 2017, Jack E. Guynn, Jr., a director of the Company, notified the Company of his decision to retire as a director of the Company, effective February 21, 2017.
Item 8.01 Other Events
On February 16, 2017, the Company issued a press release announcing that its banking subsidiary, Grayson National Bank, will change its name to Skyline National Bank, effective March 13, 2017. A copy of the press release announcing the name change is attached as Exhibit 99.2 to this report and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
On February 22, 2017, the Company announced the declaration of a cash dividend of $0.08 per share to shareholders of record on March 6, 2017, payable on March 20, 2017.
