On January 3, 2017, Lucas Energy, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing a transaction to acquire a leasehold position in the Permian Basin in Texas. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K (the "Current Report").
