ITEM 8.01. Other Events.
On January 3, 2017, First Community Corporation (the “Company”), holding company for First Community Bank, issued a press release announcing that Tanya Butts has joined the Company’s executive leadership team in the newly created position of Chief Operations Officer and Chief Risk Officer. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
