On September 24, 2016, the Board of Directors of Central Garden & Pet Company (the “Company”) appointed Howard Machek as the acting Principal Financial Officer effective September 25, 2016 until a Chief Financial Officer is appointed. Mr. Machek, age 53, has served as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer since September 2015 and has been the Company’s Corporate Controller since 2001.
