Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On July 19, 2016, Mr. James Simon informed Empire Resorts, Inc. (the “Company”) of his decision to resign from the Company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Simon’s resignation was due to personal health reasons and not due to any disagreement with the Company. Mr. Simon served as a director of the Company since August 2007 and also served on the Company’s Audit Committee, Compensation Committee and Regulatory Compliance Committee.
