Item 5.03 Amendments to Articles of Incorporation or Bylaws; Change in Fiscal Year.
On May 17, 2016, the Board of Directors of Mallinckrodt plc (the “Company”) approved a change in the Company’s fiscal year end to the last Friday in December from the last Friday in September. The change in fiscal year will become effective for the Company’s 2017 fiscal year, which will begin on December 31, 2016 and end on December 29, 2017. The Company intends to file a transition report on Form 10-Q for the period from October 1, 2016 to December 30, 2016.
