Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
On February 29, 2016, Ascent Capital Group, Inc. (“Ascent”), the parent company of Monitronics International, Inc. (“Monitronics”), issued a press release, attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, setting forth information, including financial information, which is intended to supplement the financial statements and related Management's Discussion and Analysis of Financial Condition and Results of Operations contained in the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2015, which the Company filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on February 29, 2016.
In addition, Ascent hosted a conference call on February 29, 2016 to discuss Ascent’s results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2015. During the conference call, the presentation of Jeffery Gardner, Executive Vice President of Ascent, (the “Slide Presentation”) included information on Ascent’s outlook for 2016. Monitronics is furnishing the Slide Presentation as Exhibit 99.2 to this Current Report on Form 8-K, and a copy of the Slide Presentation will also be accessible from Ascent’s website.
