Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangement of Certain Officers
On August 14, 2015, Essex Property Trust, Inc. (the “Company”) was informed that Thomas E. Randlett, a director of the Company, had passed away on that date. Mr. Randlett had been as a director since the Company’s initial public offering in 1994 and served as the chairman of the Board’s audit committee. Mr. Randlett’s contributions to the Company and the Board are deeply appreciated and will be missed. The Company, trustees and officers extend their condolences to Mr. Randlett’s family, friends and colleagues.
