Non-GAAP Disclosure Reconciliations This presentation contains certain financial information determined by methods other than in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (GAAP). Management believes that others within the banking industry present these measures on a fully tax equivalent basis, and accordingly believes that providing these measures may be useful for peer comparison purposes. For the same reasons, management believes the tax equivalent adjustments for tax-exempt interest income and increase in cash surrender value of life insurance are useful. Management believes that operating earnings, core and non-core non-interest income and expense are useful in assessing our operating performance and in understanding the primary drivers of our non-interest income and expense when comparing periods.
