Item 8.01. Other Events.
On March 31, 2015, NexPoint Residential Trust, Inc. (“NXRT”) issued a press release announcing the completion of its spin-off and that regular-way trading of NXRT common stock would begin on April 1, 2015 on the New York Stock Exchange. A copy of the press release is included with this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
