Item 8.01 Other Events.
On March 24, 2015, at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Westell Technologies, Inc. (the “Board”), the Board elected J. Thomas Gruenwald to serve as its Chairman, effective immediately. Since February 10, 2015, Mr. Gruenwald has been serving as President and Chief Executive Officer following the departure of the Company’s previous Chairman, President and CEO, Richard S. Gilbert. Mr. Gruenwald will continue to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
