Item 8.01. Other Events.
NewLink Genetics Corporation (the "Company") announced today that on November 14, 2014 the U.S. Federal Trade Commission granted early termination of the required waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (the “HSR Act”) with respect to the Company’s previously disclosed exclusive worldwide license agreement and research collaboration with Genentech, Inc., a member of the Roche Group (the “Genentech Agreement”).
The Genentech Agreement became effective automatically upon the early termination of the HSR Act waiting period on November 14, 2014.
