ITEM 7.01.    REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE.
On June 17, 2014, LaSalle Hotel Properties (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the sale of the Hilton Alexandria Old Town. A copy of such press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.

ITEM 8.01.    OTHER EVENTS.
The Company sold the Hilton Alexandria Old Town for approximately $93.4 million. Proceeds from the transaction will be used to reduce borrowings on the Company’s senior unsecured credit facility and redeem the outstanding 7.25% Series G Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Shares. The preferred share redemption will close on July 3, 2014.
