Tidelands Bancshares Announces Quarterly Results

Tidelands Bancshares, Inc., the holding company for Tidelands Bank, announced that the net loss for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 was $131,943 as compared to a loss of $541,218 for the same period of 2013.   Net loss available to common shareholders after the preferred dividend was $344,196 as compared to $785,056 for the first quarter of 2013.  Total assets were $477 million at March 31, 2014 representing a decline of 2.1% from year end 2013 levels.
