On February 24, 2014, IKONICS Corporation (the “Company”) received notice from Charles H. Andresen, a director of the Company and a member of the Company’s Audit Committee, Compensation Committee and Nominating Committee, that Mr. Andresen will not stand for re-election at the Company’s annual meeting of shareholders to be held in April 2014.  Mr. Andresen’s refusal to stand for re-election is not due to any disagreement with the Company.
