On February 11, 2014, the Board of Directors of StanCorp Financial Group, Inc. (“StanCorp”) approved a new share repurchase authorization of an additional 3 million shares of StanCorp common stock. The new share authorization will take effect upon the earliest of the completion or the expiration of the existing share repurchase authorization, and will expire on December 31, 2015.
StanCorp issued a press release announcing the new share repurchase authorization on February 12, 2014. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and furnished herewith.
