On January 27, 2014, the Registrant issued a press release announcing that its parent company, Employers Mutual Casualty Company (Employers Mutual), communicated to its employees certain statutory-basis consolidated financial information for the year ended December 31, 2013. The statutory-basis consolidated financial information is not prepared on the basis of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles, and reflects the results of all insurance company subsidiaries and affiliates of Employers Mutual, including the subsidiaries of the Registrant.
The Registrant also released the details for the 2013 4th quarter earnings call and webcast. The press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.
