AllianceBernstein Announces October 31, 2013 Assets Under Management

New York, NY, November 11, 2013 – AllianceBernstein L.P. and AllianceBernstein Holding L.P. (NYSE: AB) today announced that preliminary assets under management increased to $446 billion during October 2013 from $445 billion at the end of September. The slight increase was driven entirely by market appreciation, which more than offset net outflows. As previously disclosed, the Company lost approximately $7 billion in fixed income assets on October 1st, when AXA completed the sale of one of its subsidiaries, MONY Life Insurance Company. This accounted for the large majority of institutional net outflows in the month, though Retail and Private Client net flows were negative as well.
