Item 8.01. Other Events.
On October 25, 2013, Freddie Mac (formally known as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation) issued a press release announcing it has entered into an agreement with JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association concerning Freddie Mac’s claims related to representations and warranties on single-family loans sold to Freddie Mac. The press release also announced that Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae (formally known as the Federal National Mortgage Association) and the Federal Housing Finance Agency entered into an agreement with JPMorgan Chase & Co. and certain affiliated entities and other persons to settle litigation relating to investments by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae in certain residential non-agency mortgage-related securities.
