Item 1.04    Mine Safety — Reporting of Shutdowns and Patterns of Violations.

On October 8, 2013, the Corporation received an order issued by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (“MSHA”) under section 107(a) of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 at its Rock Hill Quarry in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The order stated that a front-end loader was removing shot for production from a bench in the pit. Large boulders were observed halfway up the face over the area the loader was preparing to remove rock material from and were supported only by material immediately below them. The order stated that material being loaded created a hazard of large boulders falling that could strike or fall on the loader and potentially injure the equipment operator. No one was injured in the cited incident. The Corporation took corrective action and the order was terminated.
