On September 19, 2013, James River Coal Company (the “Company”) issued a press release, attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1, announcing the expiration of its offers to Exchange its 4.5% Convertible Senior Notes due in 2015 and its 3.125% Convertible Senior Notes due in 2018.
