| Item 2.02 | Results of Operations and Financial Condition |
On August 15, 2013, Doral Financial Corporation (“Doral Financial” or the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its unaudited results of operations for the quarter and six months ended June 30, 2013 and its unaudited financial condition as of June 30, 2013. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
The information furnished pursuant to this Item 2.02 of this Current Report on Form 8-K, including the press release included in Exhibit 99.1, relating to its unaudited results of operations for the quarter and six months ended June 30, 2013 and its unaudited financial condition as of June 30, 2013, shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, nor shall it be incorporated by reference into any of the Company’s filings under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, unless otherwise expressly stated in such filing.
