On July 18, 2013, The Sherwin-Williams Company issued a press release announcing its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013 and certain other information. A copy of this press release is furnished with this Report as Exhibit 99 and is incorporated herein by reference.

On July 18, 2013, The Sherwin-Williams Company issued a press release announcing that last evening the Federal Competition Commission of Mexico informed the Company that by a 3-2 vote the acquisition of Consorcio Comex, S.A. de C.V. announced on November 12, 2012 was not authorized by the Commission. The Company is reviewing the rationale for the Commission’s decision and expects to respond to the Commission’s concerns in the near future.
The Company will comment further on the Commission’s decision during its second quarter 2013 earnings conference call scheduled for 11:00 AM ET today.
