Item 8.01.  Other Events.

On June 7, 2013, Duke Energy Corporation (the “Company”) began bringing the Harris Nuclear Plant back into service after an outage to make minor repairs in a nozzle that penetrates the top of the reactor vessel. On May 15, 2013, the Company announced it had removed the Harris Nuclear Plant from service to make these repairs.  There was no evidence of any leakage from the reactor vessel.  The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is reviewing the circumstances associated with the outage and is expected to issue a report with its findings in mid-July.
