Item 4.01 Changes in Registrant’s Certifying Accountant.
On April 26, 2013, High Plains Gas, Inc.( the “Company”) engaged the firm of D’Arelli Pruzansky, P.A., Certified Public Accounts to serve as its independent registered public accountants for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2012. The decision to engage new accountants was recommended and approved by the Company’s Board of Directors. During the two most recent fiscal years and the subesequent interim period, the Company’s new independent accountant, D’Arelli Pruzansky, P.A., has not been engaged by the Company as either the principal accountant to audit the Company’s financial statements or as a consultant to the Company.
