On June 3, 2013, Chrysler Group LLC (“the Company”) received a recall request letter from the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (“NHTSA”) proposing that the Company recall the Jeep Grand Cherokee in model years 1993 to 2004 and the Jeep Liberty in model years 2002 to 2007 (a total of approximately 2.7 million vehicles).
Today, the Company issued a press release in response to the NHTSA letter. A copy of this press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated into this Item 8.01 by reference.
