In connection with the News Corporation (the “Company”) shareholder derivative litigation, the Company commenced a mailing of the Notice of Pendency of Derivative Action, Proposed Settlement of Derivative Action, Settlement Hearing, and Right to Appear (the “Notice”) to holders of the Company’s common stock in accordance with the Scheduling Order dated May 6, 2013 (the “Scheduling Order”). The Scheduling Order requires that the Company also file a copy of the Notice with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Notice contains a link to a web site with information that may be of interest or use to the reader. The Company is not responsible for the content made available at the web site address provided in the Notice and will not be held liable for any use of such information.
A copy of the Notice is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
